Sustainability annual report
Santander publishes annually its sustainability report which includes the main actions and commitments of the Bank in this area and in relation to its employees, customers, shareholders and society.
The report also describes the initiatives that Santander develops with society and the environment, particularly in the communities in which it operates with special attention to the relationship with the universities.
For its elaboration, Santander has relied on internationally recognised standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) in its G4 version, assessing itself as Comprehensive under the requirements of the standard.
Additionally, Santander has done a study to identify the social, environmental and ethical behaviour issues relevant to its stakeholders.
This sustainability report has been verified by PwC, an independent firm which also audited the annual financial statements of the Group.
