Santander Internship Scholarships in SMEs
University students in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, UK, Portugal, Puerto Rico and Uruguay will be able to complement their training and take their first steps into the job market with one of these grants, which last for three or six months. Brazil enable 500 students to work as interns in small and medium-sized enterprises each year.
Ibero-American Grants for Degree Course Students
This program will grant up to 15,000 international mobility grants, each for 3,000 euros. The main aim of this programme is to contribute to the development of the´Ibero-American Centre of Knowledge´ through university student exchanges. Grants may be applied for by students from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.
Ibero-American Young Teachers' and Researchers' Grants
This programme will award a total of 3,000 grants with an endowment of €5,000 each. These grants cover academic visits of at least two months to one of the participating universities from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Puerto Rico and Uruguay. Scientists and academics who are preferably younger than 35 and hold a current employment contract during the period of validity of the grant may apply for this support.
Portuguese-Brazilian scholarship programme
The objective of the Portuguese-Brazilian scholarship programme is to stimulate academic exchange visits between Brazil and Portugal. Every year, students from 24 Brazilian public universities come to study in Portugal for one semester to participate in a rich cultural exchange between countries that speak the same language. The scholarship has a value equivalent to 3,300 euros that must be used to help cover transport, accommodation and food costs.
ANDIFES Santander Universities Grants
ANDIFES and Banco Santander, which have been partnering since 2009, have already awarded 1,600 scholarships for national and international mobility to students from Brazilian federal universities. Another 960 scholarships will be granted until 2017.
Rio Communities Grants Programme
The bank and the Rio de Janeiro City Council, with the support of the NGO AfreReggae, created this programme in 2011. Scholarships will be granted for online language courses (English, Spanish and Mandarin) as will scholarships for vocational courses, IT and international mobility grants.
