London, 4th April 2016-. A group of MBA students from Penn State University in USA recently visited Triton Square as part of a series of corporate visits in the UK. Thanks to the programme students spend two weeks in the UK visiting multi-national companies as well as other institutions such as the University of Oxford. The group participates in seminars on employability skills and business and economic related topics.

Organised by the Corporate Social Responsibility and University teams the meeting gave students an insight of the changes that are affecting the banking industry and the challenges that lie ahead for the sector.

During their visit the group participated in a round table chaired by Robin Foale, Managing Director Santander Universities UK. Robin was joined by Sharon Squire, Head of CSR, Lemi Taylor, Communications Business Partner - Technology & Operations and Stephanie Lee, Business Development & Communications Lead for Innovation.

At the end of meeting, the group discussed the different presentations and the students showed particular interest in how technological developments are affecting Santander’s daily activity; in particular the importance of secure systems and building trust among customers.

The students also had the chance to visit the Santander Social Media Command Centre and the new branch recently opened in Triton Square which will serve as a model for the Santander branch of the future in the UK.
