Alejandro Butti

CEO of Banco Santander in Argentina

Alejandro Butti has been working at Santander Argentina since 1994, holding different positions at the Risk Department until 1998, when he joined Corporate Banking. He was appointed Managing Director of Corporate & Investment Banking in 2013, after being Head of Corporate Banking for five years. He also served as a member of the Executive Committee. In addition, he has been the President of Santander Río Valores and  member of the Board of Directors in other Santander entities. 

In April 2021 he assumed the position of CEO of Santander Argentina. 

Mr. Butti previously worked for Arcelor Mittal, where he took on various positions of increasing responsibility, and he also worked in the Treasury area at SC Johnson & Son. 

He holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires and an MBA from IAE Business School.
