Euromoney magazine recognised our dedication and placed us among the top ten private banks in the world, topping its list for Latin America, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile and Mexico. In fact, we earned the largest number of awards in our history this year and were named the provider of the “Best Private Banking Services” in Portugal for the eighth consecutive year and in Chile for the seventh time.

Thanks to our global proposition, in-depth knowledge of local markets and advanced use of technology, we received the award for “Best Private Banking Services” in the high net worth segment – over USD 30 million – in Latin America and in four of the main markets for that segment (Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Chile).

“Euromoney’s recognition of SPB as the best private bank in more categories and geographies than ever before is testament to our progress over the past year”, according to Víctor Matarranz, head of Banco Santander’s Wealth Management division, which comprises the Private Banking businesses as well as the asset management and insurance arms of Santander. Wealth Management and Insurance celebrated its second anniversary last September. Thanks to its successful track record, Wealth Management and Insurance generated 30% of the Group’s total fee income in the first half of 2019 and contributed EUR 1.2 billion to Group profit.
