Diego Rubio

Professor, IE School of Global and Public Affairs & Executive Director of IE Center for the Governance of Change

Diego Rubio is the Professor of Applied History and Global Governance at the IE School of International Relations, and the Executive Director of the Center for the Governance of Change, a newly created institution that seeks to enhance our ability to understand, anticipate, and manage technological innovation and its externalities in a variety of domains –political, economic, and societal.

Diego worked as Lecturer and Research Fellow at the University of Oxford for more than four years and has advised a number of organizations, including the United Nations, the European Commission, the World Economic Forum, the Ibero-American General Secretariat, and the Spanish Government. As a scholar, he has lectured at several universities, including Harvard, Columbia, Singapore, Oslo, and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Diego holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and a Master from the École Normale Supérieure LSH. He did his BA in Barcelona, graduating with the highest GPA of the country and obtaining the First National Award of Academic Excellence.
