Information concerning the proposed merger of Banco Santander, S.A. and Banco Banif, S.A., Unipersonal ("Banif")

In compliance with the provisions of article 32 of Company Structural Amendments Act 3/2009, of 3^rd April, the Banco Santander and Banif Common Merger Project, approved by the boards of directors of the respective institutions on 28^th January 2013, is included on this corporate website from 28^th January 2013.

Likewise, in compliance with the provisions of article 39 with respect to article 49, both of the Company Structural Amendments Act 3/2009, of 3rd April, the following documentation regarding the merger by absorption of Banif by Banco Santander is included on this website.

The documents whose English versions are shown below are translations of original texts in Spanish. In case of discrepancy between both texts, the Spanish versions will prevail.
