Ana Botin participated telematically in the Our Common Future Summit organized by the Spanish business association CEOE, in which the country's major business leaders proposed their strategic ideas for the reconstruction of the Spanish economy to the Government.
During her speech, Ana Botin stressed that "Spain needs a shock plan in the tourism and hotel and restaurant sector, along with a sustainable housing plan for young people". She also stressed that the challenge ahead of us "is to minimise the intensity and duration of the recession that this health crisis has dragged us into, without generating a further deterioration in the distribution of income, wealth or opportunities in our society and maintaining as many jobs as possible, helping companies to survive".
