Another edition of the biggest economic and technological congress of this part of Europe – IMPACT’24 is coming up. This year the congress will be held on 15 and 16 May in Poznań. Peter Zeihan, Kenneth Cukier and Michelle Obama are among the speakers. Santander Bank Polska is once again a strategic partner of the event.

The agenda of IMPACT’24 includes 9 interactive stages that will welcome over 650 prominent speakers from all around the world. During the two days of the congress, the experts will talk about the trends affecting our reality and shaping the future. The debates will be held in 23 thematic areas, including: Digital Future, Green Economy, Energy, Defence & Cybersecurity, Space, Eastern Europe, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Women`s Empowerment, Startups, Global Economy & Banking, Digital Commerce and many other.

The event will host experts from the world of science and technology, the most important representatives of Polish politics and business, regulators and the best speakers from all around the world. The invited guests include: Peter Zeihan – geopolitical strategist, Chris Bailey – productivity and efficiency expert, Valerie Jarrett – CEO of Barack Obama Foundation, Kenneth Cukier – award winning author and journalist and deputy editor-in-chief of The Economist, Verity Harding – one of 100 influential persons in the AI according to The Time, Jesse Eisenberg – renowned actor and film producer. The special guest of this year’s conference will be the first lady of the USA – Michelle Obama.

Impact’24 will be also an opportunity to meet the experts of Santander Bank Polska.

15 May:

• Michał Gajewski, CEO, will take part in the debate: “The End of the World Is Just the Beginning: Mapping the Collapse of Globalization”,
• Maciej Reluga, Member of the Management Board in charge of the Financial Management Division, CFO, will be the panelist of the discussion: “Global economy outlook”,
• Patryk Nowakowski, Member of the Management Board in charge of the Digital Transformation Division, will take part in the debate: “Technological Revolution – New Era of Innovation”,
• Magdalena Proga-Stępień, Member of the Management Board in charge of the Retail Banking Division, will be the panelist in the debate: “Finances fuelled by the AI”,
• Artur Głembocki, Member of the Management Board in charge of the Compliance and FCC Division, will be the panelist of the debate: “Future of digital security: How financial institutions adapt themselves to growing threats”,
• Lech Gałkowski, Member of the Management Board in charge of the Business and Corporate Banking Division, will take part in the discussion: “Leadership in the times of change”,
• Piotr Bodył-Szymala, Legal Advisor to the CEO, will be the panelist of the session: “Investors and corporations as the driving force behind the success of startups: Effective cooperation models”.

16 May:

• Dorota Strojkowska, Member of the Management Board in charge of the Business Partnership Division, will take part in the panel: “Impact of the corporate culture on development of women leadership”,
• Andrzej Burliga, Vice President of the Management Board in charge of the Risk Management Division, will take part in the session: “Human touch in the era of AI”,
• Rafał Jakubowski, Head of the Corporate Communication and Marketing Area, will be the panelist of the discussion: “Excuse me, am I speaking to a human?”.

IMPACT is a congress that attracts the greatest speakers from all around the world. The previous events hosted speakers such as: Nassim Nicholas Taleb, one of the most prominent and influential economists and contemporary philosophers, Natalie Portman, renowned actress, director and activist, or Adam Tooze, British historian and economist from the Columbia University.
