The course, delivered by expert IE University lecturers, has 90 places for young people from 13 countries and will be held in Madrid in July 2026.

Participants will receive free registration, transport and accommodation for the course's two-week duration.

Banco Santander is launching a new training programme in partnership with IE University to reaffirm its commitment to education, employability and the upskilling of young talented people. Titled Santander Innovation & AI experience in Madrid’, this in-person, intensive two-week programme for 90 people aged 21 to 35 from 13 countries aims to bolster their skills in innovation, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.

Santander is running this initiative to empower young, international talent in partnership with IE University, which will lead the course and applicant selection. This in-person course will run from 13 to 24 July 2026 at IE’s Madrid campus. The deadline for applications on the Santander Open Academy website is 3 December.

Innovation & AI Experience in Madrid’ combines active methodologies, practical workshops and sessions delivered by expert IE University lecturers on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, startups, and strategic consulting. Over two weeks, participants will work on real challenges, learn key skills to lead innovative projects, and enjoy a multicultural experience with peers from several countries.

Successful applicants will get accommodation, transport, registration and the entire course for free. What’s more, they will get exclusive access to a network of international contacts who will help them continue to develop professionally after the programme ends.

Applicants need not be a Santander customer; however, they will need a high level of English and interest in learning about technology and innovation.

This initiative enables Banco Santander to reaffirm its commitment to lifelong learning and the acquisition of digital skills in a world of constant technological transformation.
