The bank strengthens its International Business value proposition with a digital solution that combines strategic information, specialized support, and access to opportunities in more than 40 markets.

The platform, already operational in other markets, enables Spanish companies to identify opportunities, access local experts, and move forward with greater confidence in their international expansion.

This is the first time a bank has created a fully integrated solution for companies looking to operate in international markets.

Madrid, 12 May 2026.
Santander has launched Navigator Global in Spain, its digital platform designed to support companies in their international expansion, reinforcing its commitment to the global growth of Spain’s business ecosystem.

Navigator Global is a digital platform designed to guide companies throughout their entire internationalization journey, from identifying the markets with the greatest potential to executing their market entry strategy, connecting them with strategic information, local experts, and solutions tailored to each stage.

The launch in Spain comes amid a strong push by Santander in international business. In 2025, the bank financed €25.4 billion in international activity for 190,000 Spanish companies, consolidating its role as a key partner in business internationalization.

The launch of Navigator Global in Spain is part of the platform’s global rollout, introduced by Santander in November 2025 and already operational in markets such as the United Kingdom and the United States, with the aim of progressively expanding to all countries where the bank operates. This international deployment allows Navigator Global to leverage a global network of knowledge, experts, and opportunities, offering Spanish companies access to a solution already proven in other markets and designed to effectively support their international growth.

With Navigator Global, Santander takes a further step in this strategy by providing its clients with a tool that simplifies decision-making, reduces operational complexity, and facilitates access to business opportunities in international markets. The platform also addresses some of the key barriers companies face when expanding abroad, such as regulatory uncertainty and the difficulty of finding reliable local partners.

Navigator Global works with other key partners, such as governments and chambers of commerce, to ensure a coordinated support ecosystem for businesses. In addition, through partnerships with other banks in markets where Santander is not present, the platform will enable greater scale. One example is Malaysia, where the platform was launched in December 2025 alongside MBSB Bank.

The platform is structured around three key pillars: Market, Plan and Connect.

Market – Businesses need clarity on where to expand. Through the analysis of global data and a network of local experts in each market, the platform provides insights into real demand, buyer behavior, and sector-specific opportunities, helping companies decide where to go.

Plan – Businesses need support to enter new markets. Through tailored action plans available on the platform, companies can manage regulation, costs, and logistics, as well as properly plan their market entry.

Connect – Navigator Global connects businesses with buyers, reliable distributors, experienced advisors, and the appropriate financial support. The platform has more than 300 verified providers that help reduce the risks and costs associated with international trade, as well as a network of over 10,000 global connections to facilitate expansion into new markets.

Among its main functionalities, Navigator Global enables companies to:

  • Identify the most promising markets through the analysis of global data and trends.
  • Access market intelligence and tailored action plans.
  • Connect with local experts, business partners, and verified suppliers.
  • Receive specialized support on regulation, logistics, taxation, and market entry channels.
  • Activate financing solutions when needed.

Internationalization has always been one of the main growth drivers for Spanish companies. With the launch of Navigator Global in Spain, we are taking another step to stay close to our clients, offering them not only cutting-edge financial solutions, but also end-to-end support throughout their international journey. We do this through connections and tools that help them grow with confidence in international markets. Santander is doing what no other bank has achieved: a fully integrated solution for companies looking to operate internationally. When businesses have the right support, the opportunities are endless.
