There will be eight fully electric vehicles of different models (from six brands) to choose from, all with a battery range of 300 to 583 kilometres (186 to 362 miles).

Santander Consumer Renting and Iberdrola have launched “Green Renting Iberdrola”, an all-inclusive electric vehicle leasing service designed to simplify access to electric mobility through an offer that includes several energy solutions starting at 491 euros.
The service enables customers to enjoy the full electric vehicle experience for a monthly fee. This new form of leasing includes an electric vehicle, installation of a charger at the customer’s home, a smart charger, the electricity required for the lease term and contracted mileage (at home and away from home), and all services that a vehicle lease usually entails, such as maintenance, fully comprehensive insurance, and roadside assistance.
The service will begin with these eight vehicles that cover all needs and segments (new models will be added in due course), with a battery range of 300 to 583 kilometres (186 to 362 miles): Renault 5, Volvo EX30, Volvo EC40, BYD Dolphin Surf, BYD Atto 2, Mazda 6E, Xpeng G6, and MG S5.
The cheapest option, at 491 euros per month (inc. VAT), is the BYD Dolphin Surf Comfort 115 kW, which has a WLTP battery range of 300 kilometres (186 miles). The price includes electricity and installation of the latest generation charger. This launch marks the two companies’ insertion of an innovative lease model in Spain that makes switching to an electric vehicle simpler. Customers won’t need to manage energy supplier, installation, contracts, insurer or maintenance services separately as it’s all included under one agreement for a fixed price.
Green Renting Iberdrola aims to boost the number of electric vehicle users by reducing barriers to entry through a simpler, cheaper and more secure proposition.
This service covers the electricity required to run the vehicle, both via a home charger and those in Iberdrola’s public network, which is Spain’s widest.
Known cost
Customers know the total price of their new electric vehicle from the outset. There are no hidden extras or surprises. The electricity allowance has been calculated on an annual basis and embedded in the proposition to provide month-to-month flexibility and align monthly consumption with the vehicle's actual usage.
This service also offers the option to choose both the contract term (three or four years) and mileage (from 10,000km to 20,000km — 6,213 miles to 12,427 miles) so customers, from city-based drivers to long-distance travellers, can tailor it to their needs.
Should the customer use up the electricity allowance included in the lease agreement, home charging will continue as usual, and the electricity rate that the customer has contracted for their home will apply. The service is not tied to a specific rate plan, so Iberdrola customers who wish to sign up for Green Renting Iberdrola can do so without changing their original electricity tariff.
On top of simplifying sign up and the use of an electric vehicle, Green Renting Iberdrola enables drivers to reduce the technology-related risk that the rapid evolution of electric vehicles brings. As this is a leasing model, customers can always enjoy the latest technology without assuming the risk of obsolescence that a traditional car purchase might entail.
