Argentine Republic’s present-day Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation
Federico Adolfo Sturzenegger graduated with a degree in Economics from the National University of La Plata, in 1987, and completed his PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in 1991.
Mr Sturzenegger is the Argentine Republic’s present-day Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation. He is also a Full Professor at the University of San Andrés (UdeSA) and Adjunct Professor at Harvard University's School of Government, having previously served as a professor at both the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) and at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) in Buenos Aires.
Formerly the Chairman of Banco Ciudad (2008 -2013), Mr Sturzenegger was an Argentine member of parliament, from 2013 to 2015, and went on to chair the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA), till 2018.
Mr Sturzenegger, who has authored several books and articles on economics, has been recognized by the Konex Foundation for his contributions to economic theory.
