Marta Lagos is a pollster, founder of Latinobarómetro MORI (Chile) S.A. and coordinator of Globalbarómetro, www.globalbarometers.net, creating networks for institutions in the field of comparative polls.

Her career took off in the 80’s, when her interest in predicting elections was crowned by her correctly anticipated results of the 1988 Chilean general elections. An economist, Ms Lagos is a member of the World Values Survey steering committee.

With numerous works published both in English and in Spanish, she has held the post of editor at the Oxford-based International Journal of Public Opinion Research (till 2024); received the 2008 Dinnernam Award; and been a member of the board of directors at Banco de la Mujer.
