Theodor Weimer
CEO of Deutsche Börse
Theodor Weimer has been CEO of Deutsche Börse AG since January 2018. After his studies in Tübingen and St. Gallen and a PhD in mathematical organisation theory at Bonn University, and started his career as a consultant at McKinsey in 1988.
In 1995, he joined Bain & Company, where, as a Senior Partner in investment banking, he was Member of the Global Management Committee.
In 2001, he started as Managing Partner at Goldman Sachs, where he became Partner in Investment Banking in 2004.
In mid-2007, he joined UniCredit Group as Co-Head of Investment Banking.
On 1 January 2009, be was appointed CEO of HypoVereinsbank. He held this office until he started at Deutsche Börse on 1 January 2018.
Since 2013, Mr. Weimer was in addition Member of the Global Executive Committee of UniCredit Group, Milan.
