Other initiatives

University Cooperation Office (OCU). A business project driven by Santander and eight Spanish universities to create university management software that enables the economic/financial and academic management of the university. This software has been developed by universities for universities and is thus very widely accepted. Many universities use this system today and it is becoming increasingly more adopted internationally.

Latin American Knowledge Web Site – I3C. A project driven by CSIC, the Alcalá de Henares University, Universia, Santander and UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico). The aim is to create a knowledge portal published in Spanish for Latin American universities.
Buenos Aires Technological Institute Competitiveness Centre (ITBA – San Andrés). Santander's contribution focuses on generating joint academic activities at a graduate and post-graduate level, exchange programmes and starting up the Centre for Business, Competitiveness and Development (CECyD). IGLP Programme (Institute for Global Law and Policy) with Harvard University. A symposium in which 100 doctors from around the world attend Harvard University to discuss topics related to globalisation and international relations.
Mexico Santander Educational Credit Programme. This programme is the fruit of a strategic alliance with the eight main private universities of Mexico (Centre for Technical and Superior Training, Western Institute of Technology and Higher Studies, Monterrey Technological Institute, Anahuac University, Monterrey University, the Pan American University, the Popular Autonomous University of the Puebla State, Regiomontana University ). University City East Point, Uruguay. Since its creation in 2009, Santander Universities has actively collaborated with the University City East Point Cluster. The University of the Republic, Catholic, and Ort Uruguay participate, as do university institutes such as Claeh and business, tourism and municipal management chambers. The project has been distinguished by the national Research and Innovation Agency with the 2010 award for innovation. More information.
