The Bank officially presented the project for its new corporate building, which is set to become an architectural landmark in the city of Santiago, to the community and local authorities through an invitation to get creative on the perimeter fencing surrounding the plot where construction of Campus Santander is due to take place.
Santiago, 28 January 2023.
The initiative involved employees and residents of Las Condes, who came together to create a huge mural, the design for which features typical local scenes and was designed by renowned Chilean illustrators, Payo and Elena Ho.
At the event, country head of Banco Santander Chile, Román Blanco, thanked everyone for their involvement and explained, "Campus Santander won't just be the Bank's new home, it will also be a space for the community, somewhere we hope that creativity and innovative ideas will flourish and a place where we can continue to help our customers make their dreams a reality. Seeing our employees and their families taking part in today's activity alongside our future neighbours goes to show that this new site will be a meeting place for all to use".
The mayor of Las Condes, Daniela Peñaloza, also highlighted the importance of the project. "Companies, the local council and the community working together is the alliance we want to achieve to solve the problems in our community. The commercial districts that have been developed in Las Condes allow us structured growth, new and improved public spaces and improvements to connectivity and mobility through technology that benefits our neighbourhoods and their residents".
