Amid the health alert caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we have put our normal day-to-day activities on hold so that we can return to the “new normal” soon. Now, more than ever, we understand and assume the commitment to stay at home, even if that means missing out on many of our hobbies such as football... or does it?
 

We know that even though the major competitions have been suspended temporarily, it is impossible to curb football fans’ passion for the game. That’s why, with help from the global ambassador for our sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League, Ronaldo Nazário, we decided to brighten up the situation by using a little creativity.

With the competition anthem playing in the background, the former footballer appeared in one of the most hotly contested draws taking place in homes recently: which member of the household takes care of most day-to-day tasks? 


Under the slogan All. Together. Now. and forming part of our sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League, this content was published on social media using @futbolsantander on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram in line with other entertaining content, such as the curious way we all line up spices in the kitchen. Other content raises awareness on the importance of social distancing, using comparisons with situations on the playing field. 


There is no doubt that the fans of the world’s number one sport are keen to see the ball rolling again as soon as possible and to feel the thrill each time their team scores a goal. Until then, #StayAtHome.
