Santander launches the “Seniors Account”, which is 100% free of charge for pensioners who deposit their income in the bank. Included is access to services at more than 430 branches around the country using biometric readers, 1,330 service windows, 2,637 ATMs and more than 10,000 Santander Express service counters. 

The Seniors Account offers preferential service at the Santander Contact Centre, providing specialist assistance for answering queries and helping perform transactions quickly. 

Seniors also get significant discounts on their purchases at chemists, savings on car, home or life insurance and preferential rates for personal and chattel loans.

Santander is launching the Seniors Account, a value proposition that gives priority and exclusive benefits to all adults who deposit their pensions in the bank. 

Santander also offers them access to service at more than 430 branches around the country using biometrics, with 1,330 service windows, 2,637 ATMs and more than 10,000 Santander Express service counters.

All customers who start depositing their pensions in the Seniors Account will get it free of charge and receive preferential service at the Contact Centre, where specialists will answer their queries and assist them with performing transactions quickly. 

They also get significant perks, such as a 25% discount on their purchases at chemists, 15% savings on car, home or life insurance until December 2020, and preferential rates for personal and chattel loans. 

Just for being Santander customers, seniors get several benefits: 

  • Superclub Programme: collecting points through usage that they can exchange for prizes, savings vouchers or credit for paying for their credit card. 
  • Santander Surprise: exclusive savings on leading brands. 
  • Direct discounts: at more than a thousand businesses of all kinds, including gastronomy, shows, travel and shopping.
