279 projects were submitted to this year’s contest. Our teams in Spain voted online to choose the 17 winners, who each received a share of the funds raised through monthly donations from employees’ salary, which the bank matches.
To ensure that support reaches diverse projects in terms of scope and size, the contest awards four winners in each of its four categories: Disability, Social Inclusion, Health, and International Cooperation. Three of the four organizations in each category will receive 42,990 euros, while the fourth will receive 22,990 euros. Moreover, this year there was a special award of 20,000 euros to Fundación Acrescere for Casa Maná, a project that focuses on suicide prevention among young people.
Since Euros from your salary began, we have supported some 200 projects, awarded over 7 million euros, and helped improve the lives of more than 600,000 people in 26 countries. These results remind us that social impact is built on the sum of many individual actions and a shared vision: to move forward as an organization by creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and supporting those working on the ground to transform lives.
