Every graduate scheme is different, and the skills you need across each one will vary. That's why we’ve applied degree neutrality to our programmes, to attract graduates with different types of degrees and grades, as we're looking for skills found within many disciplines.

Whether you're rotating across different business areas or based in London or Milton Keynes, you'll work with expert team members who will inspire and support you to be your best.

It varies between schemes, but here's a general overview of what we're looking for:

  • Actual or anticipated completion of a Bachelor’s degree

Set to open in May 2023 it will become the centre of gravity for our business and help to make our new hybrid approach work for everyone. Unity Place has been built with sustainability and employee experience in mind and will be a place we can collaborate as a business It will give our people the opportunity to make use of state-of-the-art facilities and come together with their teams from across the UK.

All our graduate roles except for Corporate and Commercial Banking will be based in our brand-new exciting Milton Keynes office. Corporate and Commercial Banking have business centres across the UK and presence in our London office.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement which means you will have flexibility to work from the office and from home, however you will be expected to spend at least 40% of your time in the office.

Welcome to the heart of Santander UK – Homes Division. 

Join us on an exciting journey where you’ll learn how to thrive in a fast-paced, exciting, and innovative environment surrounded by dynamic projects and initiatives. Our teams are diverse yet distinct with years of experience, knowledge, and skills across different areas and primed and ready to support you. 

If you join this programme, you will have the opportunity to understand the department at the centre of Santander (UK). You will get the chance to rotate around different areas of the Homes Division (part of the Retail Bank) which will help you find your true passion. You will have a chance to choose from a variety of placements – from working on our green agenda to influencing mortgages journeys, through digitalisation to exposure in marketing or risk. 

Working for us will enable you to learn, develop and expand existing skills. In Homes you’ll be supported in building not only knowledge but will also focus on teaching you to build relationships while giving you exposure to different teams across the bank and possibly with Group

Our Payments Graduate programme gives you the tools to develop the skills, knowledge, and networks you need to take on a role in Product Ownership. The payments industry is evolving rapidly, and the way we send and receive payments is about to be transformed. As part of the Payments Centre of Excellence, you’ll help us ensure we deliver this change collaboratively and securely.

During the 2-year programme, you’ll benefit from regular placements within Payments, giving you a good understanding of our business area. Do you have a naturally analytical mind, with a drive to solve problems and build trusted relationships?

Thanks to the expert guidance of a brilliant and close-knit team, our Finance Graduate Programme will help you get your head around all aspects of finance / treasury, from reporting to forecasting. Running two distinct paths within the division, Finance and Treasury, the aim is to prepare you to become a professionally qualified accountant or treasury specialist. On your way, you’ll discover the pivotal role finance / treasury plays in our business, as you build knowledge, skills, and relationships across every area of the company.

We'll support you to quickly develop the confidence, skills, and experience to maximise your potential, and each time you pass an exam, you’ll be eligible for a pay increase, so by the end of the programme you could be earning in up to £47,000.

On rotation, you’ll gain insights into various diverse products and business areas, including Corporate & Commercial Coverage and Credit Risk function.
