Santander UK’s Digital team is paving the way deliver new customer solutions by utilising agile delivery methods and cloud-based tooling and services including AWS & GitHub.
Our goal is to provide a seamless Network, API and Compute fabric in Cloud, allowing our engineers to create cutting edge new digital services and applications for our customers across the retail and commercial bank. These will be brought to life through access to the newest cloud-based innovative technologies.
Our Digital teams are talented and diverse. We work in multi-disciplinary, product-oriented squads aligned under the ‘Homes’ and ‘Everyday Banking’ business areas. Each squad is dedicated to a common digital product such as digital onboarding and digital identity verification, delivering genuine value to our customers.
Our UK virtual assistant team (VA) is a prime example of how we deliver this value. They delivered an enhance chat experience for our customers using advance machine learning technology to save calls to contact centre. The UK VA works for FAQ, complex dialogs, or it’s even able to perform complex transactions requiring second factor authentication. The VA has also complex hand off rules that can route customer to agents based on sentiment analysis!
