We promote financial education and inclusive training as ways to increase opportunities and bridge gaps. This enables us to bring basic knowledge of economics and finance to different groups throughout Spain thanks to our employee volunteers. We also promote the employability and inclusion of people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups through scholarships, accessible courses and resources.

Our three priority pillars

Financial management and sustainability

AI, digitalization and cybersecurity

Leadership and institutional reinforcement

Santander X

Through our Santander X platform, we support NGOs by offering them free courses to strengthen their capabilities in financial management and sustainability, artificial intelligence, digitalization and cybersecurity, leadership and institutional reinforcement, and other areas that are key to their sustainability and growth.

Through these courses, we seek to provide third sector organizations with practical tools and strategic knowledge that will enable them to make their activity more professional, adapt to new technological environments, and bolster their organizational structure. Moreover, this helps them increase their social and economic impact.

Finanzas para Mortales

Launched in 2012, 'Finanzas para Mortales' boasts the support and sponsorship of Banco Santander and runs thanks to employee volunteers across the whole of Spain. We deliver accessible and tailored financial education to different groups through training sessions and workshops.

Its aim is to bring the basic concepts of economics and finance closer to young people, rural communities, social entrepreneurs and vulnerable groups in a clear and practical way, as well as to help them manage their daily finances and make informed financial decisions according to their needs.

Fundación Universia

We promote the training and workplace inclusion of people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups through scholarships and free, accessible programmes. Moreover, through Santander Open Academy we support social organizations to bolster digital skills and promote employability.

We run courses such as Digital Marketing with AI, Cyberskills and AI applied to inclusion in partnership with universities, technology companies and governments. We also run Abre tus Sentidos (“Open your senses”) and a digital accessibility course to remove barriers and increase opportunities.
