We run social initiatives that combine financing and participation to make a positive, sustainable impact. From our yearly Euros de tu Nómina contests to Santander Ayuda in Spain, Santander BEST Africa and Comprometidos Somos Más, we use different ways to join efforts with organizations and offer greater opportunity where it’s most needed.

Euros de tu Nómina

Euros de tu Nómina is a solidarity drive in which employees in Spain donate part of their salary every month. The bank matches each employee donation during the year.

We hold the Euros de tu Nómina contest every year. Our employees submit and vote on social projects that the Euros de tu Nómina fund supports.

Santander Ayuda

An initiative where we run projects to boost education opportunities for vulnerable children and teenagers at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

It supports educational reinforcement and academic guidance initiatives; provides socio-educational support through leisure activities; and supports families, with grants of up to €20,000 per project.

Santander BEST Africa

Santander BEST Africa contributes to social and economic development in Africa by promoting women’s entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism in local communities.

The programme provides technical and financial support to a network of businesses run by women, many of whom are considered vulnerable, and promotes employment and social and environmental sustainability. It currently runs in Gambia, Morocco, Mozambique and Senegal in partnership with local NGOs that specialize in gender, entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism.

Comprometidos Somos Más

An initiative to provide financial support to social projects through a range of investment funds that donate part of their management fees to those projects.

Customers can invest for two reasons: achieve financial returns and help make a positive impact on society. This initiative channels resources to entities and programmes in such areas as inclusion, education, and supporting vulnerable groups.
