Santander Cash Nexus was created 10 years ago by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB), our business that supports corporate and institutional clients. Today, over 1,000 businesses of all types use the platform, with SCIB working alongside the Retail & Commercial Banking division.

In the past four years alone, Nexus has grown its customer base by 85% and processed over 425 billion euros. Behind the figures is a simple idea: to help businesses work better in a dynamic environment and across several currencies.

Santander Cash Nexus brings together payments and account information on a single platform that is secure, flexible and can be customized. The aim is to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes globally.

To achieve that, it shows the balances and transactions of Santander and other banks’ accounts in real time and at close of business through the Nexus Global Portal and the Nexus app. It also enables users to generate customized reports independently and make domestic transfers, tax payments or international payments in multiple countries and currencies easily and quickly. For large volumes, the Global Transaction HUB solution processes bulk payments in standard formats, integrating seamlessly with ERP or TMS systems and offering connectivity with all market standards, such as SWIFT, Host-to-Host, SAP Multibank, EBICS, and EDITRAN.

The Nexus Global Collections system cross-references deposits with the related invoices or orders and flags matches, which enhances traceability and reduces manual accounting tasks.

But it’s not just technology; it's a comprehensive service with tailor-made support. A specialized team assists clients in all aspects of their financial operations, from real-time liquidity management to international transactions, thus eliminating complexity and multiple points of contact.
