Since the start of the covid-19 health crisis, Santander has strived to mitigate the harm it’s caused to people and businesses. One measure we took was giving the Region of Madrid government access to our El Solaruco building in the Santander Group City located in the town of Boadilla del Monte.
From 5 July 2021, 30 healthcare workers administered some 57,500 doses to over 35,500 people. This was also made possible by the commitment and efforts of the more than 80 support, security, administration and cleaning staff.
The initiative falls under our Plan Sumamos Salud+Economía, a partnership between public and private entities (including more than 20,000 large companies and SMEs) that has helped reduce the harm caused by covid-19 and develop economic recovery plans in pursuit of a more sustainable future.
