280 employees are chosen through a peer-to-peer nomination process covering all of Santander’s markets every 18 months to participate in the Young Leaders Programme – giving them opportunities to work with colleagues across the world and contribute to the strategy and transformation of the Bank.

ALPS is an innovative learning journey that combines leadership skills development along with businessproblem-solving. The ALPS programme is structured around the concept of ‘action learning in an agile environment’ applying ‘Design Thinking’ and methodologies such as ‘Agile’ and ‘Lean Startup’.
Under the sponsorship of a senior executive ALPS participants work for six months on their projects in a virtual environment and have the opportunity to gather together in different on-site events taking place in different countries.

Leaders’ Experience, also known as LeadX, is an executive development programme designed for Santander’s top leaders to enable Leaders to accelerate Santander’s transformation in a responsible open global financial services platform.
The participants get access to virtual live sessions with internal and external faculty as well as tools to further develop their digital professional skills and technical knowledge.
