Santander Portugal customers can now check their Homebanking page for balances and activity of accounts with other banks and complete SEPA transfers from those accounts.  
 

14/10/2019  Available on the Open Banking platform, these features offer customers an overview of all their bank accounts in a single channel (account aggregation) and enable them to manage their financial life from a single location.      

The service is free of charge and available on NetBanco for individual and corporate customers (note that for corporate customers, the transfer service will be only available at the end of September). These and other features will be available in the Santander app in the future.

The service has been implemented using the APIs local banks had to develop and has followed from the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2), a new European directive aimed at creating a single payment services market in Europe that is both more integrated and more secure, efficient, innovative and competitive.

With these types of solutions, Santander Portugal aims to help in the development of an ecosystem with advantages for all stakeholders, increasing security, facilitating day-to-day management and promoting the launch of new services. This is an important step towards the Group's objective of becoming the best financial services platform in the world.
