Corporate responsibility and fair taxation

Larry Summers & Natasha Sarin criticize the hypocrisy of some companies and business leaders which on one hand are strong supporters of the new responsible capitalism “committed to serving interests beyond those of stockholders”, while on the other hand they use accounting tricks to avoid paying taxes.

Restoring taxation, according to the author, would represent a substantial, economically rational response to populist and nationalist pressure.
