What will post-pandemic employment models look like? Global Head of Human Resources Alexandra Brandão reflects on the role of diversity at the Santander WomenNOW RESET Conference organized by Vocento.
Grupo Santander’s long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusion means we’ve topped the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for the third consecutive year and been named by Euromoney magazine as The Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion 2020.
In her speech at the Santander WomenNOW RESET Conference organized by Vocento, Brandão said: “Inclusion and diversity are not just a question of gender. This also includes age, education, background… diversity of thought and opinions. It is not only about having the right representation in terms of numbers, it is about setting the right environment.”
Brandão shared some best practices to achieve real diversity and inclusion, such as “reducing the pay gap and making women more visible”. She especially emphasized the need for "women to have more confidence themselves, women empowering other women and really “walk the talk”.
