Nathan Bostock in branch opening at Cranfield University (Disponible solo en inglés)

Great Britain, 1st July 2015-. Santander UK has opened a new dedicated branch on campus at Cranfield University. The branch, opened at a ceremony attended by the Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor of Cranfield University Professor Sir Peter Gregson and Santander UK’s CEO Nathan Bostock.

The new branch is available for all students, graduates, University staff and the local community and has later opening hours to best suit university life. It is staffed by specially trained advisors who are experts in dealing with financial issues for students and teaching staff alike.

The opening was also attended by other members of the bank and the University including: Professor Lynette Ryals, Pro Vice Chancellor for Education; Simon Bray, Managing Director Santander Universities UK; and Sonia Sandhu, University Relationship Branch Manager of the newly opened branch.

Professor Sir Peter Gregson, Vice-Chancellor said: “We are delighted that Santander is opening this local branch. It will enhance the resources on campus for students and staff and will be a valuable resource in the local area. It is another example of Cranfield’s growing collaboration with Santander which already supports a wide range of initiatives, including scholarships, education and research activities, internships and now also entrepreneurial events and development.”

Nathan Bostock, Chief Executive Officer, Santander UK said: “This is a really exciting development on the Cranfield campus as it will give University students, staff and lecturers access to a branch without the need to travel to a high street branch.

After the branch opening, the day continued with an entrepreneurs round table event with the theme ‘The Impact of Entrepreneurs on the Economy - how can we boost local ambition’, facilitated by Dr Shai Vyakarnam, Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield.
