Our programmes

We want you to find an opportunity that’s suited for you and the career story you want to develop. Our programmes give you the opportunity to create an exciting future with us, whatever you background.

If the right opportunity for you isn’t shown below, be the first to hear about new programmes by joining our Talent Community.

What's involved?

Every Santander apprenticeship scheme is different. Some last 12 months, others take up to four years. Some lead to a level 3 qualification, while others are on par with a degree.

However, every apprenticeship scheme offers you:

  • A real job with hands-on experience
  • Decent salary from day one
  • Tailored training and development
  • Chance to gain an industry-recognised qualification
  • The opportunity to join us full-time if you succeed

Who's it for?

Almost everyone. If you’ve left school at 16 with GCSEs, an entry-level apprenticeship could be perfect. If you have A-levels, a higher or degree-level apprenticeship could be more your thing. We even have graduates doing them. They ofer an excellent training in business, and there’s no upper age limit to becoming an apprentice.

Why do it?

Apprenticeships are all the rage these days, and with good reason. They offer you the chance to get paid and gain an industry-recognised qualification at the same time. And unlike university, there are no tuition fees to pay, so no scary debts to worry about.

But it’s not just about money. With a Santander apprenticeship, you get training that’s second to none. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, developing real-world skills alongside your classroom training. You put theory into practice every day.

Training

With each apprenticeship, we have a dedicated training provider to help you learn and get qualified. You could be learning though online courses, classroom sessions or a mixture of both. You’ll also have unlimited access to our own online learning portal, which provides training on a diverse range of subjects.

Benefits

And the real beauty of an apprenticeship is you’re treated like every other Santander employee. You’re on a proper contract with us and get all the perks that come with full employment, including:

We want our people to thrive at work and home, and we recognise that many people benefit from flexible arrangements. To enable us to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop we understand the importance of having the right balance of spending time together in an office while maintaining flexibility.
