Global Chief Information Security Officer, Cybersecurity and Fraud Prevention, Banco Santander

Hazel is the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Santander since June 2023, where she is responsible for overseeing the cybersecurity teams and services across the Group. She brings over 20 years of experience working in multicultural environments, leading various security departments on a global scale. Prior to her current role, Hazel led the global GRC Cyber function, where she was responsible for cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance processes, in addition to coordinating CISO activities for Central Services and the SOX IT control framework. Before joining Santander, she held several senior cybersecurity positions across the first, second, and third lines of defense in multiple industries, including managing the European function for IT and Cyber Risks, as well as overseeing Global Security Architecture and Design at Aviva, the largest insurance company in the UK.
