Your first job should be so much more than putting your studies into practice. That’s why we strive to create programmes based on diversity and inclusion and lifelong learning that enrich students’ experiences. Here we tell you more.

In keeping with our purpose, vision and values, Santander's internal talent is the driving force behind our operations. Employees in their thousands help our quest to become a Simple, Personal and Fair bank.

Students have a key role to play, with enthusiasm for new beginnings and learning as well as digital skills that come naturally to new generations. And their colleagues’ wide-ranging experience helps guide them through the business. It's a melting pot of expertise that contributes to a healthier working environment.

What’s it like to be a Santander intern?

Every year, we invite undergraduates and graduates to apply for an internship in our divisions and business areas in the countries where we operate. Thousands of interns from all over the world join us.

Coming from fields like economics and finance, science, technology and marketing, they’re hired to support the bank’s teams. On top of applying their knowledge, they can find out which projects and areas they like most, where their strengths lie, and how to sharpen their soft skills, key to personal and professional growth.

The pleasant atmosphere stands out most. There’s a real sense of teamwork. They place so much trust in interns and really make you feel part of the team. They’re patient and engaged when teaching you how to do things well. And they're always available to answer your questions
