Your first job should be so much more than putting your studies into practice. That’s why we strive to create programmes based on equal opportunity and lifelong learning that enrich students’ experiences. In return, we know that we can count on your energy and desire to contribute.
At Santander, internal talent is the driving force behind our operations. And students have a key role to play. Their enthusiasm for new beginnings and for learning combine with the digital skills that come naturally to new generations.
And their colleagues’ wide-ranging experience helps guide them through the business. It's a melting pot of expertise that contributes to a healthier working environment.
Every year, we invite undergraduates and graduates to apply for an internship in our divisions and business areas in the countries where we operate. Thousands of interns from all over the world join us.
Coming from fields like economics and finance, science, technology and marketing, they’re hired to support the bank’s teams. On top of applying their knowledge, they can find out which projects and areas they like most, where their strengths lie, and how to sharpen their soft skills, which are key to personal and professional growth.
One example is the Santander Summer Internship Programme that HQ, Wealth Management and SCIB oversee, and that we run at our corporate centre in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid). Now in its fifth year, this two-month programme takes on over 80 students from Argentina, Mexico, the UK and other countries across the globe.
Throughout the programme, interns share experiences and get to meet like-minded students in fun activities run by Human Resources.
