Information concerning the proposed merger of Banco Santander, S.A. and Banco Banco Español de Crédito, S.A. ("Banesto")

In compliance with the provisions of article 32 of Company Structural Amendments Act 3/2009, of 3^rd April, the Banco Santander and Banesto Common Merger Project, approved by the boards of directors of the respective institutions on 9 January 2013, is included on this corporate website from 9 January 2013.

Likewise, in compliance with the provisions of article 39 with of the Company Structural Amendments Act 3/2009, of 3^rd April, the following documentation regarding the merger by absorption of Banesto by Banco Santander is included on this website.
