How we hire

The hiring process in Banco Santander is made thinking of you. Your experience during all the process is a very important issue for us and we want to meet your expectations.

The typical process would be as follows:

  1. Online Application

    Once you have submitted your application form we will review and check that you meet the requirements for your chosen role. We will also be checking your application form for accuracy - so check all your spelling and grammar before you submit.

  2. Online Scenario Questions

    For some of the roles, and according the local practices, after completing the online application, you will be asked to complete online assessments which relate to the role you have applied for.

  3. Interview with HR team

    If you pass the previous stages you will be invited to speak to one of our Talen Acquisition Team to discuss the role in more detail and the competencies required to succeed. This call will last approximately 20 minutes.

  4. Interview with business

    Depending on the success after the first interview, your application will then be submitted for review for short-listing. You will be invited to either a face-to-face interview or an assessment day, which would include some formal assessment of your skills and competencies.
    Depending on the role, you could be invited to more than one face-to-face interview.

  5. Offer

    If you are successful you will be made a verbal offer of a position, subject to you meeting our Fraud, Credit and Referencing checks.

  6. Start Date

    Depending on the role you have applied for, you may be offered an imminent start date.
