Capital Increase (July 2017) - Shareholders resident in Argentina and Mexico and shareholders or holders of BDRs in Brazil

Banco Santander has launched a capital increase with pre-emptive subscription rights addressed to its current shareholders, as well as other investors who acquire pre-emptive subscription rights in the market. The capital increase aims to reinforce and optimize the Bank’s equity structure to adequately cover the acquisition of 100% of Banco Popular Español, S.A.’s share capital.
